Hey :] You asked me to give my 'point of view' on your graphics so here I am! Lol
Well.... Your graphics do need a lot of work but I think your off to a good start.
Some tips and stuff:
1. First off I notice that you save your graphics under JPG save them under PNG, You'll get better quality.
2. You need to work on a shading technique. Theres 2 easy ways to do that as you may know of them. 1: You can use the burn and dodge tool to make a nice real life looking skin effect or 2: you can use my favorite technique where you draw shape after shape and make each shape lighter. You can also use the same technique for clothes shading as well. Here's some great tutorials for the 2nd shading technique that I suggested: http://hunnigall.blogspot.com/p/basics.html
3. You want your hair to look more realistic. I know I keep throwing tutorials at you but believe me, they will help. Even looking at them helps because you kind of get an idea of how the graphic is made and how they did it.... Make any since? And you can also get inspirations from other peoples graphics. Here's some good hair tutorials: http://graphicsbylizs.blogspot.com/2010/12/hair-tutorial.html And: http://erikagraphics.blogspot.com/p/tutorials.html
Also just another shading tutorial to through at you: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vszCPvsjzFQ/TCeOImnJ-1I/AAAAAAAAAQw/CcnaxbDXOyw/s1600/folds.png
4. Try to draw your figures a little straighter, if you can't just blur the edges of the object or whatever your drawing with the blur tool. It'll make them look better.
5. DON'T be afraid experiment with new graphical projects and techniques.
6. You should post all of your graphics on your blog. Not just the really good ones. If you continue to post all of your graphics (Even the bad ones) you ever make on your blog you'll be able to learn from them. Look at them and say: What can I improve? And remember what you can improve in your next graphic.
7. Don't steal someones graphic. Just because they'res are better then yours doesn't mean you should steal it and tell everyone you made it. Its rude and very disrespectful.
8. Don't give up. Even though you'll feel like your not improving, just keep making graphics and you'll slowly improve. If you quit making them and don't practice you'll start at the end of the ladder again/ where you started.
Well that's about it. Just keep practicing and work on your shading and you should start improving big time!
Thats really good but I think a little more colour would really make it pop! :D
